After finding my skincare game changer, I slowly began to build a routine that works to not only keep my skin clear, but also looking better than it ever has. I initially fell for the hype of having a 10 step Korean skincare routine but I feel like a few simple multi-products get the job done for me.
I have tested a couple different balms and oils for the initial step of double cleansing and I have found my favorite — Klavuu Pure Pearlsation oil cleanser gently removes dirt, buildup and makeup effectively while emulsifying easily – meaning it’s easy to rinse off.
I follow that up with the Neon Real Fresh Foam Cereal cleanser that is fun to apply and use! I mean who doesn’t love bubbles? The cereal, that you can see at the bottom of the product, ferments and you get the real grains straight in your skincare. I love that using this is gentle enough not to strip my skin but strong enough to get my face clean.
Depending on the day of the week, I will follow up with my favorite exfoliating pads Neogen Bio Peel Gauze Peeling Lemon. This product lactic acid, glycolic acid, and lemon, orange, and papaya extracts which work to remove dead skin cells, brighten skin and fade dark scars. I tend to use this at a maximum of two times a week because I don’t want to irritate my skin by over exfoliating.
Moisturize and Glow
Now I mix the last two steps of my Korean skincare routine, my moisturizer of choice is Acwell Aqua Clinity Cream and my serum Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop. Both products are catered to those with sensitive skin and adding in the Vitamin C helps with fading dark spots, brighten and even out skin tone, and keep skin firm. If I add the serum in the morning I always make sure to follow up with sunscreen.
