At the beginning of this year if you would’ve said that I wouldn’t be reading as much I would looked at you sideways. But going through grief, being under quarantine and work really took a toll on me and reading wasn’t as comforting as it normally was. Reading has been keeping me sane and is one of my favorite ways to relax.
In Five Years – Rebecca Serle
I was intrigued by the synopsis of this book but I will admit I was majorly disappointed with the ending and I would give the book 3.5/5 stars.
The Worst Best Man- Mia Sosa
This book was a random pick but I loved every minute of this romantic comedy and especially like the narrator for the audiobook version. 4/5 stars.
Such a Fun Age- Kiley Reid
I was shocked by this book; based on the synopsis it didn’t go exactly how I thought it would and the ending felt rushed but overall I enjoyed listening to the audiobook through Audible. 4/5 stars
Get a Life, Chloe Brown – Talia Hibbert
Another audiobook for me that I absolutely loved; great representation of mental illness and non-visible illness. This was a very fun read for me and very needed after the previous book. 4/5 stars.
Six of Crows -Leigh Bardugo
I thoroughly enjoyed this book especially the audiobook version because the narrators really made it enjoyable. I’ll save you from my fan freakout over the book but you can read my review on it here. 5/5 stars.
I’ve started on some more books since finishing Six of Crows, like the sequel Crooked Kingdom and romance novellas and some ARC’s that I will mention in my next book roundup. What have you been reading during quarantine?
